Training to become a Therapist for Audio-Psycho-Phonology at Mozart Brain LabMozart-Brain-Lab (MBL) was founded, as Jozef Vervoort (it's founder) was asked by Prof. Alfred Tomatis to take over the training of new APP therapists and thus to continue his lifework. Mozart-Brain-Lab is the only institute for APP training in Europe, which is personally authorized by Prof. Tomatis.
Dr. Alfred Tomatis, Ear Nose and Throat Specialist and Prof. for Linguistics, is founder and developer of Audio-Psycho-Phonology (APP), which emanated from his research about the following questions:
Founding APP, Tomatis has created a new treatment, the potential of which is still hard to assess. Unfortunately Tomatis cannot bring forward the APP any longer because he passed away on Christmas 2001. Mozart-Brain-Lab addresses it's training to physicians, psychologists, therapists and pedagogues. People with other professions may take part in the training, but they will not get a licence. A licence is condition to practice APP and to be allowed to buy all the equipment needed to practice. In particular cases Mozart-Brain-Lab decides on licence allocation.
